felony assault, use and discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence, and three other weapons charges.
Desjardin was convicted in connection with a September 2021 shooting in the parking lot of a Walgreens store on Atwells Avenue in Providence. Prosecutors said it stemmed from a dispute between Desjardins and another driver. In the second case, Desjardins was involved in an armed standoff with police from inside his barbershop on Federal Hill. Sentenced to 38 years, with 18 to serve. He won’t be eligible for parole for 20 years.
