Sentenced to Forty-Five (45) days of incarceration; Followed by Thirty-Six (36) months of Probation. Special Assessment of $10. Restitution of $500.
Criminal History
Santillan has prior criminal convictions, several of which led to his incarceration after violating the conditions of his probation. At the age of 18, Santillan was convicted of statutory rape and initially sentenced to 12 months probation. He violated his probation twice and was subsequently sentenced to 60 days in jail and then sentenced to serve the balance of his probation in jail. Id. That same year, Santillan was arrested and charged with DUI. He was initially sentenced to 12 monthsโ probation, but the court then sentenced him to 550 days in jail for violating probation. In 2015 and 2016, Santillan received two 12-month probationary sentences for driving without a license and reckless driving, respectively. On September 11, 2018, Santillan was sentenced to 6 monthsโ probation for willful obstruction of law enforcement. Several months later, Santillan was ordered to serve the remainder of his probation in jail for again violating his probation
